Abstract: Abstract: To investigate the clinical veterinary effect of porcine recombinant interferon (IFN)-alpha in promoting growth and preventing viral disease, the test was processed with total 40 piglets in Guangdong province. As result, the feed to gain ratio of group 1 and 2 had decreased to 6.3% and 17.23% respectively, the average daily weight gain had improved-3.69% and 24.85%, the survival rate had increased to 6.6% and 14.3% separately, the rate of diarrhea had decreased to 11.5% and 26.9%, the total controllable ratio of the diseases had increased to 40.1% and 55.49% separately, comparing with group Ctr. During the observation period, the 4 piglets of group Ctr were infected by PRRSV and 1 of them was death, none was infected in group 1 and 2. In conclusion, the result has showed a good promoting growth′s performance and the notability to prevent viral disease of the piglets.
