Effects of Dilution Methods on Frozen Semen Quality of Cashmere Goats

Abstract

Abstract: Seven cashmere goats producing great semen was selected. Sperm motility(0, 4 h), sperm survival index, acrosomal integrity, enzyme activity of HYD, GOT and LDH after frozen-thawed were measured, to study the effect of one-step dilution method and two-step dilution method on semen freezing and frozen-thawed spermatozoa quality. The results showed that sperm survival index of two-step dilution method was higer significantly than that of one-step dilution method after frozen-thawed. Enzyme activity of HYD, GOT and LDH of two-step dilution method was lower significantly than those of one-step. The results showed that frozen semen quality of cashmere goats of two-step dilution method was better than that of one-step dilution method.
