Abstract: Minerals affect performance and health of animal, which is one of the necessary nutrient. According to literature since 2007, summarizes the effect of the major elements and trace elements on ruminant growth and development, the maintenance of physiological function, rumen fermentation, product quality and production, immune function.The major elements of the research is calcium, phosphorus-based, trace element selenium in order to study the hot-oriented,and the further research on interaction of elements is proceed.The future research priorities on minerals include that the best DCAB of different period of milking,the relationship between elements and immune function,addition and metabolism of elements,and how to maintain the ecological environment and to ensure food safety and efficient development of new types of minerals additives.
