Abstract: Perineal hernia is one of the common diseases in elder dogs. Surgical repair is the only treatment method. The most commonly used technique is making patient in prone position. It is difficult to repair the hernia and repair simultaneously at one operation. Hernias relapse in some cases. This paper introduces an innovative technique: operation becomes easier and hernia recurrence is less with the colopexy and cystopexy before repair surgery; bilateral complicated perineal hernia can be repaired in one operation with the dorsal recumbency.
