Abstract: With the development of biologic technology, dietary fat, apart from being an important macronutrient, has recently gained broadly attention for play
ing key role in regulating gene expression. It is proved that polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) affect the transcription of a variety of genes by integration
with nuclear receptors and transcription factors, but not limited to, changes i
n membrane composition, intracellular calcium levels, and eicosanoid production. Therefore, this article will be review on advancement of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) regulation of genes expression in organism.

Key words: polyunsaturated fatty acids; lipid metabolism; gene expression
