Effects of Cold Stress on Antioxidative Function of Hypothalamus and Serum in Chicken

摘要: 为了探明冷应激对雏鸡抗氧化功能的影响,作者以公雏鸡为试验动物,进行急、慢性冷应激处理(12±1℃),通过对下丘脑和血清总抗氧化能力(T-AOC)、过氧化氢酶(CAT)活性、谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GSH-Px)活性、超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)活性、丙二醛(MDA)含量的检测,表明冷应激可使机体的抗氧化功能发生改变,诱发氧化胁迫,导致机体内自由基增多,对机体造成损伤。

Abstract: As the experimental materials, chickens were treated with acute and chronic cold stress (12±1℃) in order to explore the effect of cold stress on antioxidative function. Through the detection of T-AOC, CAT activity, GSH-Px activity, SOD activity, MDA contents in hypothalamus and serum, it is demonstrated that cold stress could change antioxidative function, induce oxidative stress, increase the content of free radicals, and finally result in the body damage.
