Antiviral effect of Flos Lonicerae japonica and Flos lonicerae flavonoids ingredients to PRV in vitro

Abstract: Extracted flavonoids ingredients from traditional Chinese herbs Flos Lonicerae japonicae.and Flos Lonicerae, respectively, which were planted in Hunan province of China. Investigated antiviral effects of the flavonoids extracts by observing cytopathic effect (CPE) in Vero cell, and detected the cell survival rate by MTT method. The results showed that in a safe concentration range of security, the flavonoids extracts had obvious interdiction, inhibition and neutralization effects to Vero cell. There were no obvious differences between Flos Lonicerae japonicae.and Flos Lonicerae, except Flos Lonicerae having more powerful inhibition effect in viro.
