The Threat, Prevention and Control of Clostridium perfringens in Cattle Industry

Abstract: Clostridium perfringens is an emerging threat to cattle industry in China, the epidemiology and pathogenic features of it have largely changed in recent years. More clinical forms of C. perfringens infection in cattle industry are caused by C. perfringens type C and D, some cases show chronic symptoms. In this paper, the epidemiology, predisposing factors, clinical signs, pathological changes, diagnosis method, prevention and control of C. perfringens were reviewed,based on a lot of references summarized.
