Abstract: Chickens infectious proventriculitis is a glandular stomach syndrome caused by a variety of reasons, mainly characterized by slow growth retardation of chicken, glandular stomach swelling congestion, glandular stomach nipple bleeding, ulcer and erosion. The etiology of which is quite complicated maybe including avian recticuloendotheliosis viruses (REV),coronavirus, fowl poxvirus (FPV),mycotoxin, and so on. The several etiologies such as viral factors, mycotoxin, bacterial and other factors play the synergistic action generally. The pathogens are uncertain and the proventriculitis is difficult to prevent and control, which brings great economic losses to poultry industry. In this paper, several key etiologies to chickens infectious proventriculitis will be analyzed and summarized.
