Abstract: In order to investigate the efficacy of TCDCA on heated-stressed Hyline brown chicken,AA meat chicken and Kunming mice, examined the effects of TCDCA on the mortality of AA meat chicken, the increase in body weight of Hyline brown chicken as well as mice's food intake, water intake, serum hydrocortisone and T3 concentrations and HSP70 mRNA expression in hepatic tissues under heat stress. The results showed that TCDCA (0.1 and 0.2 g/kg) significantly reduced the mortality of heated-stressed AA meat chicken (P<0.05).TCDCA (0.05,0.1 and 0.2 g/kg) extremely significantly increased the weight of heated-stressed Hyline brown chicken (P<0.01).TCDCA (0.1 g/kg) significantly increased the intake of food and water on heated-stressed mice (P<0.05),but it had no effect on weight of heated-stressed mice (P>0.05).TCDCA (0.05,0.1 and 0.2 g/kg) significantly decreased the concentration of serum T3 on heated-stressed mice (P<0.05).TCDCA (0.1 and 0.2 g/kg) significantly increased the concentration of serum hydrocortisone on heated-stressed mice (P<0.05).TCDCA (0.05,0.1 and 0.2 g/kg) significantly inhibited the expression of HSP70 mRNA in hepatic tissues on heated-stressed mice (P<0.05).The results as mentioned above indicated that TCDCA could prevent the thermal stress.
