Abstract: The 36 subclinical mastitis dairy cows of 600 kg weight and 1 to 3 parity were selected for the experiment, and randomly distributed equally into control group and test group. The test group dairy cows were taking 200 g of extract of saxifrage daily. Results showed that enzyme activity of myeloperoxidase enzyme (MPO), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), lactoperoxidase (LP) and N-acetyl-B-amino-glucosidase (NAG) in the test group 7 and 14 d were significantly lower than the control group(P<0.01); CMT assay showed that the cure rates of test group 7 and 14 d were 55.56% and 77.78%, respectively; drug safety evaluation showed that using the extract of saxifrage had not cause changes in liver and kidney function indicators in test group 7 and 14 d, it indicated that the extract of saxifrage could be used in veterinary clinic safely.
