Abstract: Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) is the causative agent of PRRS, which caused reproductive failure in sows and respiratory problems in piglets and high mortality. In 2006, PRRSV which spread all over the world mutated for highly pathogenic porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome(HP-PRRS)in China, and caused serious economic loss. This syndrome has been found 20 years since it was found in America for the first time at the end of 1980s. In the absence of miracle drug, vaccine plays a key role in preventing this disease. Scholars at home and abroad attach great importance to this vaccine and make great development. The paper shows its main development in living vaccine, inactivated vaccine and genetically engineering vaccine three ways.
