Abstract: Porcine circle virus has two genotypes, PCV1 and PCV2. Between them, only PCV2 is pathogenic and it can cause a variety of related diseases (PCVAD),such as PMWS.PCV2 mainly attacks the lymphatic cells, and then to cause immune suppression and to induce apoptosis.PCV2 can also infect animals along with other virus, which greatly increases the animal's disease incidence rate and mortality rate. Now we will make a review on molecular character and pathogenesis of PCV2.

Key words: PCV2; PCVAD; lymphatic immune cells; apoptosis; collaborative infection
