Abstract: Recently, the reproduction capacity of goose is so weak ,on the average, one year has usually 20 to 40 eggs for the most goose species, that seriously hinder the development of its industrilization development. The incubation behavior is the main problem which cause low reproductive performance of goose. Many results showed that the onset and maintain of avain incubation behavior are regulated by genetic factor, environment and endocrine. However, poultry broodiness is controlled by a series of hormone. Furthermore, prolactin(PRL) is an important reproductive hormone, high PRL level is known to induce and maintain incubation behavior in turkey hens. Vosactive intestinal peptide (VIP),PRL releasing factor(PRL),not only can tonically stimulate pituitary cell to secrete PRL, but also plays a pivotal role in the control of PRL secretion modulated via 5-HT and dopamine(DA). Therefore, VIP plays an important role in the regulation of avain broodiness endocrine.
