Abstract: N-carbamylglutamate (NCG) is a kind of new pig feed additive, which can improve the reproductive performance including increasing the total piglets born per litter and the birth weight of all piglets born of sow, enhancing the fecundity of boar and promoting the growth and development of piglets through promoting the endogenous synthesis of arginine. The use of NCG in pig was reviewed to provide examples for hoggeries to improve their efficiency of pig production.
