RNA Interference Technology and Gene Function Studies in the Honeybees Application Prospects

Abstract: RNA interference(RNAi) is an ancient and evolutionarily conserved phenomenon in living nature, since the discovery it has become an effective means of research the genes function. The author introduces the discovery history of the RNA interference technology and its mechanism of action, describes the application progress in terms of insect functional genomics and previews the research prospect in gene function for honeybees.
