Abstract: A pig farm in Dezhou broke out disease that was similar to swine high fever disease. Samples of diseased pigs were collected. Total DNA and RNA of the samples were extracted. Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus(PRRSV), porcine circovirus type 2(PCV2), classic swine fever virus(CSFV),pseudorabies virus(PRV) and porcine parvovirus(PPV), were detected by PCR or RT-PCR. A 353 bp band which was specific for porcine circovirus type 2 was amplified. Further tests through bacterial isolation and culture, biochemical identification proved a mixed infection of PCV2, Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus haemolyticus.
