Abstract: Tissue samples were taken from the dead geese of breeding goose farm suspected to be colibacillosis infection,8 pathogenic E.coli strains were isolated and identified, the results of identification using O and K serogroups showed that 8 isolates were confirmed to be O88K61(4 strains) and O44K74(3 strains) serotype respectively, except 1 unidentified strain, endotoxin was not detected in the identified E.coli strains above. The antibiotics sensitivity test with 14 kinds of antibacterial drugs indicated the 8 isolates were highly sensitive to Amikacin, moderately sensitive to Vancomycin,Neomycin and Furazolidone, and resistant to Amoxinllin,Streptomycin,Kanamycin,Gentamicin and Tetracycline, the 8 E.coli isolates were cross-resistant to Enrofloxacin,Pioneermycin,Sulfadiazine,Norfloxacin and Doxycycline. The results above also revealed that at least 3 pathogenic E.coli serotypes with multi-drug resistance existed among the sick geese flock in the same farm.
