Abstract: Satellite cells are regarded as a population of muscle-specific committed progenitors that are responsible for the postnatal maintenance, growth, repair and regeneration of skeletal muscles. Although satellite cells nave been first isolated 50 years ago,the characteristic that is maintained by culture still cann’t resolve. In this study,50 μmol/L deoxycholic acid(DCA)could promote the proliferation of rats’ satellite cells. The expression of β-catenin increased gradually by Western blotting. The cells treated with DCA still could fusion.
