Abstract: With the improved requirements of pork qualities, the fat traits in pork has been a research focus. This paper mainly summarizes the progress on several candidate genes of pork’s fatness traits, which includes fatty acid-binding protein (FABP) gene, lipoprotein lipase (LPL) gene, hormone sensitive lipase (HSL) gene, diacylglycerol acyltransferase 1 (DGAT1) gene, uncoupling protein 3 (UCP3) gene, obesity (Ob) gene, etc, and supplyed some basis data to the improvement of fatness traits in pigs.
