Abstract: In order to fully evaluate the safety of the Wedelia chinensis, based on the chronic toxicity test of Wedelia chinensis to rabbits, we conducted the acute toxicity test of Wedelia chinensis to mice administered by oral. In the test, we observed the histopathology of the mice and compared their viscera coefficients. The results showed that: ①In the course of the test, mice of the control or test group didn’t die; ②There was no pathological change been found in viscera, after mice of the test group were killed; ③Viscera coefficients of mice were no significant difference (P>0.05) between the control and test group; ④Liver tissue of mice in test group changed slightly, while other viscera had no change. It indicated that: Wedelia chinensis can be safely used as animals’ forage.
