Studies on the Rule of Shedding of Giardian cysts in Puppies after Artificial Infection

Abstract

Abstract:

Faecal samples of puppies after artificial infection were examined for Giardia cysts by zinc sulphate floatation method.The result indicated that the rule of Giardia canis cysts in puppies was periodism.Giardia cysts were detected in the 8th days after artificial infection.Cysts shedding peaked in 18 days.The peak of cysts shedding continued 1～2 days.The next cysts shedding peaked in 2～3 days.But all of the peak of cysts shedding continued no more than 2 days.
