Effect of Temperature on Egg Production and Study on Daily Ovulatory Rules in Weishan Sheldrakes

Abstract: The effect of temperature on egg production in Weishan Sheldrakes was observed in this study. The results showed that the adaptable temperature of egg-laying in Weishan Sheldrakes ranged from 23 to 28℃, the egg production varied directly with the temperature within certain premises. Daily ovulatory rules of Weishan Sheldrakes were summarized as follows: 3.906 percent began to lay eggs at 02∶00 in the morning; the peak of egg production period occurred between 04∶00 and 05∶00 in the morning, the proportion of eggs were 55.8 percent. Mostly Sheldrakes finished laying eggs after 10∶00 in the morning.
