Advances in the Research of Porcine β Defensin-1

Abstract: PBD-1 is an antibacterial peptide that plays an important role in defense system of porcine. which have high expression in porcine respiratory and digestive tracts and also in liver, kidney and more tissue cells. lots of researches prove PBD-1 has distinctive function mechanism and hardly noendurance to pill. So more researchers of every country have pay attention increasingly to it. now the research work for PBD-1 is more deeply.PBD-1 plays a important role in animal breeding,illness prevention and progression of quality of livestock good. Here we report PBD-1’s research advancement on PBD-1 distribution,properties,molecular structure, mechanisms of antimicrobial activity and gene expression and regulation. 
