Acute Toxicity Experiments of Chinese Herbal Compound on Mice

Abstract: In order to study the clinical effect and the acute toxicity of Chinese herbal compound, a total of 100 mice were divided into 10 groups, 3 groups of which were orally given Jinhua by 6667, 10000 and 15000 mg per kilogram body weight respectively, and 6 groups of which were celiacly injected Jinhua by 10000, 12000, 14400, 17280, 20740 and 24880 mg per kilogram body weight respectively. The results showed that, even orally given Chinese herbal compound Jinhua by 15000 mg per kilogram body weight to the mice, not any toxicity or sideeffect were observed. The LD50 of celiac dosage of Chinese herbal compound was 16660 mg per kilogram body weight. The results indicate that the Chinese herbal compound is safe.
