Abstract: The nonstructural protein 2(Nsp2) genes of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) were cloned using RT-PCR from porcine tissue samples in some pig farms in Jilin province. The sequences of Nsp2 were sequenced and analyzed using DNAStar 7.0,Clustalx 1.83 and MEGA 4. Homology searches were performed by means of BLAST programs by NCBI. Identities of nuclear acid sequences and amino acid sequences deduced from Nsp2 genes cloned were 62.0% to 87.5% and 34.4% to 59.0% with PRRSV standard strains VR-2332 and CH-1a and so on, were 97.8% to 98.9% and 95.1% to 98.4% with Chinese highly pathogenic PRRSV strains JXA1 and HUB2 and so on.Therefore,PRRSVs leading to the infectious disease in some pig farms in Jilin province were high homology with highly pathogenic PRRSV strains.
