Pathological Study of Florfenicol Poisoning in Experimental Broiler

Abstract: 7-day-old broilers were chosen as the experimental animals, and they were fed with feeds containing different doses of Florfenicol (200, 400, 800, 2000 mg/kg feed) for 14 consecutive days to develop a poisoning model. Clinical symptoms, autopsy and histopathological changes were observed. The results showed that Florfenicol broiler performance poisoning diarrhea, reduced feed intake, drink increased; leg weakness and tarsus and stand unstable. Autopsy of the majority of chickens showed that intestinal hyperemia, hemorrhage, severe liver enlargement, degeneration and necrosis, was khaki-colored, kidney swelling, bleeding, had a large number of peritoneal effusion; histopathological changes in liver, kidney and other granular degeneration, fat degeneration.
