Abstract: To investigate the effects of methylmethionine sulfonium chloride on preventing stress-induced gastric ulcerations in rats, the acute restraint-cold stress model was made to observe the damage changes of digestive organs and the effects of methylmethionine sulfonium chloride on the changes of histological structure. This was used for evaluating the effect of methylmethionine sulfonium chloride on gastric ulceration. The results showed that methylmethionine sulfonium chloride had apparent protective effects against gastric ulceration induced by stress in rats.
