Abstract: To investigate effect of interferon on proliferation of H9N2 avian influenza virus in chick embryo, chick embryos were grouped and treated with interferon and H9N2 avian influenza virus (AIV). And then virus titer was detected by using HA. The results showed that proliferation of AIV could be restrained in the high-dose group, middle-dose group and low-dose group, but there was no significant difference among the three treated groups. The high-dose group interferon could significantly inhibit the proliferation of the virus, which compared with other dose groups in a certain time. The results showed that the high-dose interferon inhibited the proliferation of H9N2 AIV obviously in a certain period of time, this would have a certain application value in the production.
