Serological Investigation of Porcine Hemagglutinating Encephalomyelitis Virus

Abstract: 368 swine serum samples collected from some districts in Liaoning province were examined for antibodies against swine hemagglutinating encephalomyelitis virus (HEV) by hemagglutination inhibition test. The positive rates of antibodies against HEV was 44.3%. There was on clinical sign of HEV infection in any districts. The results showed that pigs had been infected subclinically by HEV in those districts.
