Abstract: This study was aimed at cloning the full length cDNA of interleukin 1 beta (IL-1β) and providing full length cDNA information and experimental materials for further research on its biology function. The full-length cDNA of IL-1β from Small-tailed Han sheep was cloned according to the SSH cDNA library, using 5'-RACE technique. The full cDNA sequence was obtained and indexed in GenBank database with the number of KC425612.2. The results showed that the full-length IL-1β cDNA consisted of 1494 bp nucleic acids with the ORF of 801 bp encoding 266 amino acid residues of the predicted protein molecular weight of 30.622 ku, and the predicted protein IL-1β of Small-tailed Han sheep showed high homology with those of Moschus berezovskii, Bos taurus, Tursiops truncate and Orcinus orca.
