Abstract: In order to find out the Shanma duck breeding in different seasons, a comparative analysis under different seasonal conditions between rearing on floor and in captivity of production performance were studied. The results showed that in the spring, laying rate and total egg weight of floor group were extremely significantly higher than that of captive group (P<0.01), while the feed ratio and malformation eggs rate in floor group were extremely significantly lower than that in captive group (P<0.01).In summer, laying rate of captive group was significantly higher than that of floor group (P<0.05) and the malformation eggs rate of captive group was extremely significantly lower than that of floor group (P<0.01), but there were no significant difference between the two groups on the total egg weight and feed ratio (P>0.05).In autumn, the laying rate of captive group was extremely significantly higher than that of floor group (P<0.01) and the feed ratio of captive group was significantly lower than that of floor group (P<0.05), but the total egg weight and malformation eggs rate were not significantly different with floor group (P>0.05).In winter, the laying rate and total egg weight of floor group was significantly and extremely significantly higher than that of captive group (P<0.05;P<0.01), respectively, and the malformation eggs rate was extremely significantly lower than that of captive group (P<0.01), but the feed ratio of floor group was not significantly different with captive group (P>0.05).In spring and winter, rearing on Shanma duck in floor method could improve the egg laying performance of ducks. In summer and autumn, rearing in captivity conducive was better for production performance.
