Abstract: The purpose of the research was to make preparations for establishing the disease resistance evaluation system as well as laying the basis for disease-resistance breeding of the Jinghai Yellow chicken. Chicken were divided into infection and control groups, the infection group was orally inoculated with Eimeria tenella oocysts (2.5×104 oocysts per bird). 10 resistance associated blood indexes were measured through the method of ELISA. The results showed, the difference of indexes 3rd day after inoculation was not significant (P>0.05) which suggested that it was hard to detect any significant change within these indexes in this period of infection;3rd to 5th day after inoculation, the body weight gain was extremly significantly higher than that of control group (P<0.01);the concentration of IFN-γ 8th day after inoculation was significantly lower than that of the control group, the concentration of SOD 8th day after inoculation was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05),and the concentrations of MDA,GSH-Px,CAT were extremely significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.01);the concentrations of IL-2,IL-16,IL-17,NO and β-carotene had no significant difference with control group (P>0.05). 3rd to 5th day after inoculation, the body weight gain, the concentrations of the 4 antioxidant enzymes (CAT, GSH-Px, MDA, SOD) and IFN-γ could be taken as the candidate indexes for the disease resistance evaluation system of the Jinghai Yellow chicken.
