Cloning and Sequence Analysis of Complete Genome of Porcine Circovirus Type 2 (PCV2) Liaoning Strain

Abstract: In this study, some PMWS-suspected samples from a swine farm in Liaoning province were detected by PCR method,then we amplified the complete genome of PCV2 and made some sequence analysis. The results showed that the complete genome of PCV2 Liaoning strain was 1768 bp in length. The nucleotide homology between the PCV2 Liaoning strain and other strains ranged from 95.9% to 99.5%. Among these strains, the PCV2 Liaoning strain showed the highest homology with Denmark (EF565365), Australia (AY424405) and Jiangsu (FJ158606), all about 99.5%, the lowest homology was with Guangdong (JX912915) about 95.9%.
