Effects of Sangxing Pingchuan Granules on some Biochemical Indices in Bloods of Rats

Abstract: In order to make clear the safety of Sangxing Pingchuan granules and provide data support for the clinical medication, 80 Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups (one control group and three treatment groups), and each group induded 20 rats. The control group was taken normal saline by intragastric administration. The three treatment groups were lavaged with water solutions of Sangxing Pingchuan granules at doses of crude drug 3, 15, 30 g/(kg穊w), respectively. The drugs were fed for 30 days continuously, and the blood was collected every nine days for the analysis on some blood biochemical indices. The results showed that Sangxing Pingchuan granules affected less on liver, kidney and heart functions of the rats. So it was a low toxic and safe traditional Chinese medicine preparation which was suitable for clinical application.
