Abstract: One strain of bacteria was isolated from Liaoning samples of pigs with suspected multiple subserosal inflammation and arthritis in 2011. We used the lungs, pericardial fluid, blood from diseased samples via bacterial isolation and culture techniques, biochemisty tests in addition to PCR identification finally indicated that the bacteria belonged to Hemophilus parasuis. Then drug sensitive test and analysis were performed on the strain named HPSLN111013. The results showed that the strain on some aspects such as morpha, cultural character and biochemisty tests were in accord with separate strains from other areas in China. Then drug sensitive test revealed that the isolate was the most sensitive to florfenicol, ceftiofur and lomefloxacin. These results supplied a foundation for the future research of Hemophilus parasuis’s serological and gene typing. Ascertaining the infection source and genetic variation of Hemophilus parasuis provided a basis of prevention and control measures of this disease in Liaoning province.
