Isolation and Identification of Pleuropneumonia Pathogen of Black Goat in Guangxi

Abstract: A suspected pleuropneumonia pathogen was isolated from sick black goat from an individual household in Nanning, Guangxi. The results of observation of pathogen growth morphology by optical microscope and electron microscope, as well as biochemical characteristic, growth inhibition test, pathogenicity test of animals and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) showed that this pathogen was Mycoplasma ovipneumonia.
