Abstract: The Oncomelania hupensis were collected from Weishan and Eryuan of Yunnan province, and all the snails were crushed on the slides, the non-fork-type cercarias of Schistosoma japonicum were discovered by microscopic examination from Weishan, and the fork-type cercarias were found from Eryuan’ snails. The rabbits were divided into two groups, and artificially infected with the two regions cercarias(400 to 850 per rabbit)via skin, respectively, and the rabbits were dissected to collect adult 〖JP2〗worms after 50 to 55 days. Schistosoma japonicum adults were successfully collected from the two groups, therefore these non-fork-type cercarias can infect animals, and the results provides a valuable supplement for the life cycle of Schistosoma japonicum.
