The rabbits were divided into two groups, and artificially infected with the two regions cercarias(400 to 850 per rabbit)via skin, respectively, and the rabbits were dissected to collect adult 〖JP2〗worms after 50 to 55 days. Schistosoma japonicum adults were successfully collected from the two groups, therefore these non-fork-type cercarias can infect animals, and the results provides a valuable supplement for the life cycle of Schistosoma japonicum.
