The Study on the Affection of the Caffeine and Vitamin E in Chicken Semen Freezing

Abstract: In this study, the affection of the caffeine and vitamin E in chicken semen freezing was compared. The semen dilute was a better one getting in earlier study, and the normal method was used in the freezing and the thawing of chicken semen. The concentration of the caffeine was 0,2,5,8,10 mmol/L respectively in dilute, and the vitamin E was 0,1,8,15,20 mg/mL. The results showed that the sperm vitality and the recovery rate were significantly higher when the 5 mmol/L caffeine and the 15 mg/mL vitamin E were added in dilute.
