Abstract

Abstract: In this study, we intracerebrally (IC) inoculated scrapie 263K infected hamster brain homogenate into the healthy hamsters of Chinese breed, the biological characteristics of 263K prion strain were identified by the clinical symptoms, the pathological, immunohistochemical and Western blotting characteristics. Then the 263K prion hamster animal model was established, which is significant for us to study the prion disease in the future in China.
