Effects of Glutamine and Glycyl-glutamine on Growth Performance of the Weaned Piglets

Abstract

Abstract: One hundred and twenty piglets were used to investigate the effect of glutamine and glycyl-glutamine on the performance of piglets weaned at 28 days. The results suggested that supplementation of 1% glutamine and 0.2% glycyl-glutamine had no effects on the ADG and the feed efficiency. On the other hand, the rate of diarrhea was reduced, but the difference wasn't significantly (P>0.05).
