Abstract: Porcine parvovirus (PPV) is one of the important pathogens causing porcine reproductive syndrome. The virus exists everywhere in the world and epidemics locally, and it has caused a huge economic losses to the reproduce and development of porcine. As a result, it is very important to prevent PPV. The PPV VP2 protein, the major capsid protein of the PPV, can be assembled into virus-like particles, induce strong antibody responses against PPV and be used as vectors for delivery of heterologous epitopes. For these reasons, the research of the VP2 is critically important to the development of the new-type vaccine in PPV. In this paper, the newest research in structural protein VP2 of PPV and advance in vaccine of PPV were reviewed.
