Abstract: Epidemiological survey and analysis of 113 outpatient cases of chicken histomoniasis were done in animal hospital of Yangzhou university from January 2008 to December 2009. Results showed that Histomonas meleagridis mainly infected quality and young chickens. The incidence of mortality rate of this disease were low, with no obvious seasonality. Symptoms in all cases were apathetic and vertical fin, excluded yellow-green faeces. The clinical diagnosis of the disease was easy due to typical lesions of liver and cecum. Results of above provided a certain draw for the clinical prevention and control of the disease .
