Abstract: Luxi cattle is excellent cattle breeds in China，in order to improve the production performance of this breed，the relationship between the polymorphism of Tf gene and growth traits of Luxi cattle was analyzed using protein polymorphism in our study. The results demonstrated that the LSE of TfEF genotype (9.32) was more than that of other genotypes on the chest depth trait (P＜0.01), the LSE of TfD₁E (6.13) and TfEF (8.53) genotype were more than that of other genotypes on the chest circumference trait (P＜0.05). The average value of gene effect of TfE gene was most on the chest depth， hip cross and chest circumference traits，the average value of gene effect of TfD₁ gene was most on the height，width cross part，chest breadth，and body length traits.
