Abstract: In order to study the genetic effect of the PRLR,RBP4 gene and the association between different genotypes and litter size in large white, 278 sows with 1418 litters record on litter size were detected for the polymorphism and association analysis. The results showed that the B allele of PRLR gene with the frequency 0.538 was higher than A allele. The effect of different genotypes on total number of born was present as BB>AB>AA at the first parity, second parity, later parities and all of the patities, but with no significancy. Assocoation analysis between different genotypes and the number of born alive showed that there were no significant in all 1418 parities. For the RBP4 gene, only AA genotype homozygous was detected in this population.
