Research Progress in the Growth Differentiation Factor 9 for Follicular Development

Abstract

Abstract: Abstract: Growth differentiation factor 9 (GDF-9) belongs to the TGF-beta superfamily and it is important to the regulation of folliculogenesis. This review introduced the structure and function of GDF-9 gene, described the expression and regulation of GDF-9, expounded the influence of GDF-9 on follicular development and proliferation of ovarian granulose cells, furthermore, analyzed the relations of GDF-9 gene and reproduction performance of mammal.


