Study on the Chromosomal Karyotype and Chromosome Banding of Guishan Goats and Red-bone Guishan Goats

Abstract: Karyotyped and chromosome banding of Guishan goat and Red-bone goat was analyzed by the techniques of peripheral blood lymphocyte culture and the techniques of making chromosome specimens. The result indicated that the karyotype of two has rarely no diffrents, number of goats chromosome is 2n = 60. Among them, 29 pairs are autosome and 1 pair is allosome, X chromosome is that for 2nd pair of big telomeric ends of chromosomes, Y chromosome is the smallest and the only centromeric chromosomes. The phenomenon of chromosomal numerical change were finded both in Guishan goat and Red-bone goat.The results of C-banding and G-banding is shown that there is no significant different between two breeds.
