Abstract: Three virus strains (AH1, AH2 and AH3) with cytopathic effects were isolated from the invasive swine farms in Anhui area. The virus was sphere with envelope and diameter of 50 nm by negative stain under electron microscope. Thin section showed the virus replicated in cytoplasm with diameter of 40 - 80 nm. The physicochemical characterization showed these strains were sensitive to the treatment with chloroform, ether, formalin, and 56 ℃. The specific fluorescent were seen when the virus reacted with PRRSV antiserum. There are two gene absence place of 90 nt in Nsp2 gene through gene sequencing. Comparing with the variant JXA1 stain, the isolated virus has the most recent relationship. These results confirmed the isolated virus were high pathogenic porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome.
