Abstract:

To study the effects of Robdosia serra (Maxim.) Hara on the growth performance and serum biochemical parameter of threeyellow chickens, 210 onedayold threeyellow chickens were divided randomly into 7 groups,and each group had 3 duplicate.GroupⅠwas given basal diet.The groupsⅡand Ⅲ were added 0.2% enrofloxacin and 1% ShuangHuangLian powder to the basal diet respectively. The groups Ⅳto Ⅶ were added 1%,2% and 4% Robdosia serra (Maxim.) Hara to basal diet respectively.After 49 days of feeding，the growth performance and serum biochemical parameter were determined.The results showed that,compared to the control group,added 2% Robdosia serra (Maxim.) Hara into the basal diet could remarkably increase the daily gain from 13.1% to 22.7%,and decrease the ratio of feed/gain from 8.1% to 14.2%, and the effect was better than ShuangHuangLian and enrofloxacin. 2% Robdosia serra (Maxim.) Hara could also increase the content of serum total protien, globulin and glucose,maintain the content of serum albumin at a stable level,and decrease the content of serum total cholesterol of threeyellow chickens which were 35 days old.
