Abstract: The buffalo oocytes were derived from abattoir ovaries , the effects of IVF of oocytes in different seasons were compared. The experiment has been lasted for two years, the data were divided into tree groups and statistically analyzed according to the oestrum cycle in buffalo. The results indicated that an average of 3.66 usable oocytes were derived from an ovary in oestrum season (Aug-Nov) which was significant higher than those in Mar-Jul and Dec-Feb (2.76 and 3.07 respectively, P<0.01). The cleavage rate and blastocyst rate of IVF oocytes obtained in different season showed no difference(P>0.05).
